A musical summit of European and American choral music taking place in Kufstein!
Under the direction of Nicol Matt the Chamber Choir of Europe believes in the European idea and is known for their sensitive and passionate choral concerts.
Their many outstanding recordings, awards (06-2011, Diapason d’Or for the Bach motets with Nicol Matt) and radio broadcasts reflect the Choir’s supreme quality, whether performing as an ensemble or as solo artists, with or without orchestral accompaniment.
At the beginning of August the choir will take to the stage in the Stadtsaal, Kufstein, to produce a recording of the worldwide distinguished composer Morten Lauridsen for Deutsche Grammaphon. The composer will be present for the recordings and will also be accompanying his own pieces with the choir on the piano. The Chamber Choir of Europe ensemble are made up of singers from all over Europe, USA and Irsael.
On Saturday 12th August, 2017 the choir will be rounding off the week of recording by presenting their hard work live at a concert starting at 7.30pm, Stadtsaal, Kufstein.
Nature, light, and poetry are three of many similarities that characterize this particular meeting. The evening is titled ‘O Magnum Mysterium’, one of the spiritual works of the composer.
